The Brief
The Works is a chain of 170 bookshops and part of the Remainders group - Britain’s leading discount bookstore. They wanted to replace their fading and shrinking basic polo shirts with good quality practical uniforms.
The Solution
For The Works we decided to use Coolskyn ® breathable yarn. Coolskyn ® is high performance polyester that has been developed specifically for garments worn by active people or people working in warm environments. Coolskyn ® will keep the wearer dry, cool and comfortable. The additional properties of Coolskyn ®, such as Colour Fastness, Non Shrink, and Resistance to Pilling, ensure that in a demanding environments the performance and appearance of the garment is maintained throughout its useful life
Using Coolskyn ® we have designed a polo shirt in Royal Blue with contrast colours Red and Yellow (The Works’ Corporate Colours). An extra layer - a specially designed v-neck arctic fleece sweater - keeps staff warm.
