Abacus was selected by Metrolink to join an elite number of uniform suppliers to apply by competitive tender. This was against artwork for the New Wardrobe for 2009 by Manchester Based “Hemisphere Design and Marketing Consultants”.

It was a challenge for Abacus to convert these drawings into practical fitting garments and to select appropriate fabrics from across the world. After several presentations and submissions Abacus were successful and were awarded the contract to supply all uniform clothing across the expanding Metrolink network in and around Manchester.

The Metrolink Wardrobe was for all employees from the reception and clerical teams to all staff working on the network and in the field. The Wardrobe was required to be hardwearing, practical and comfortable and to carry the corporate message of the Metrolink Brand.

The Metrolink Wardrobe is compiled of over twenty separate items to be worn in all weathers and the challenging environment of the transport network in our region.
